Winner of the 2012 Scholastic Asian Book Award, Bungee Cord Hair will be published soon by Scholastic of Singapore! The sequel to Tofu Quilt, it is about my writing journey from ages 12 to 15 in Hong Kong.
Tofu Quilt, a free-verse poetry book about how I became a writer, is for middle-graders. It is set in China and Hong Kong.
I have also written four books, based on my childhood, which are set in a small town in southeastern China. My childhood series follows Ying Yeung (me), an elementary-age girl living with her beloved grandmother - Ah Pau, her aunt and uncle, and their son and daughter. In 2004 and 2005, my own Chinese translations of all four books were published in Hong Kong in English/Chinese versions.
Moon Festival is a picture book about the popular Chinese festival which is celebrated in the fall by Chinese around the world.
